mammoth | The Adventures of G5

We decided to go to the Ford’s Theater today and they had a great museum. First we walked by a Macy’s window and there was a Dinosaur!!! A Dinosaur….so cool! We stopped and had some lunch/people watched and then headed to the museum.

You had a lot of fun at the museum and was strangely enamored in the recreation of the barn where some figures reenacted the capture of John Wilkes Booth. You watched it over and over again by sticking your head in the crack in the barn.

We learned that there has been over 15,000 books written about Abraham Lincoln!!!

15,000!!!!

We then traveled on to Philly to stay the week at Mr. Damon and Mrs. Kristie’s house. After we got there, you wanted to show Mr. Damon your mammoth and HAD to take him to dinner with us!

We woke up to SNOW!!! And no fever…..hooray!!!! This was the big day – The Smithsonian Natural History Museum! We walked in the snow to the museum and I can’t tell you your excitement when you saw all of the dinosaur bones….

I totally forgot to mention that you saw a Dimetrodon. A DIMETRODON!!!! That is your absolute FAVORITE and you were quite impressed. A DIMETRODON!!!!

We learned that pirates don’t say ARG! And that Blackbeard wasn’t very nice.

We then watched a 3D Mammoth movie that you claimed was ” so cool Mama!”. You got a Wooly Mammoth! You also knew what a Mastodon was. I didn’t even know what a Mastodon was. This scared me. I think it’s the heaviest toy you own. We found out you really liked the caveman.

It was really really cold and icy outside so we were happy to get to the next museum. We visited the American History museum afterwards and you liked the trains and the fake people standing around and waiting for trains.

You loved the elevator in the hotel. That evening we enjoyed dinner (with the Wooly Mammoth of course) and a very cold icy walk home. We ended with a hot bath. It was very necessary!
